Kendrick F. Coleby

Kendrick F. Coleby is a former student of E. Clement Bethel and a graduate of The College of The Bahamas where he obtained an Associate of Arts in Music. He continued his education at the University of Miami here he graduated with a Bachelor of Music in Keyboard Performance. While at the university he was a student of Ivan Davis, Professor of Piano and Artist-in-Residence. Upon completion of his degree, Mr. Coleby continued to study privately with Mr. Philip Evans, a retired professor from the Manhattan School of Music.

 

Mr. Coleby resided in Paris, France for three years during which time he was a student at the Ecole Normale de Musique. Additionally, Monsieur Jean Martin, a Professeur de Musique at the Conservatoire de Versailles, tutored him.

 

Mr. Coleby has performed in Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Savannah, Paris, Grenoble and Nassau. Presently, he is employed as a music teacher at the Government High School and serves as organist at St. Mary the Virgin Church, Virginia Street.
